Caring for your Baby Clothes

As a parent, caring for your little one's clothing is just as important as choosing the right pieces for them to wear. Whether through machine or hand wash, following recommended care instructions not only keeps your child's clothes clean and safe, but preserves the quality of the fabric, allowing your child's favorite pieces to last longer and be enjoyed for many more seasons to come.

Our clothes are made with 100% Cotton, some of them Organic Cotton, which requires thorough and proper care. Thus, we have prepared a small guideline in caring for your hello, moonchild clothes.

Soap

We recommend soap that is chosen specifically for baby clothes, such as Cycles or Tiny Buds. For stains, it is important to pre-treat them with a small amount of detergent, such as Cycles Stain Soaker. Do not soak the entire garment. Let it sit before washing.

Machine Washing

When using a machine, make sure to choose the Delicate or Gentle cycle. Always wash clothes inside out and with cold water. Using a laundry mesh bag is also recommended.

Drying

Drying your baby clothes is just as important as washing them. Since our pieces are made of cotton, a slight misstep in drying can cause shrinkage.

We recommend using a clothesline or drying rack to dry your baby clothes. Just make sure to keep the clothes out of direct sunlight, as UV rays can fade the fabric.

Air drying is the best option for your baby clothes. Simply lay them flat on a clean, dry surface until they are fully dry.

If using a dryer, choose the appropriate heat setting. Certain dryers have the option for low heat or cool air dry. Add a dryer sheet or dryer ball to reduce static.
